Man, fans of the Strokes are hot tempered. These two track from their forthcoming album leaked a couple of weeks ago, with "Juicebox" (the probably first single) appearing first. The vast amounts of rage spewed forth in the general direction of this song was phenomenal. Die hard fans of the band claimed it was a terrible new direction to go in. How could the band do such a horrible thing?
A few days later "You Only Live Once" was spread about as a peace offering to appease the teeming masses. This quelled the vicious populus... but only temporarily, I'd assume.
Really, they don't sound all that different from some of the older stuff to me. I even like "Juicebox" a little more.
