It's a shakedown, so count from one to three

If you believe everything you read on the internet... and why not... Ozma is in the process of reuniting. Ozma is about as fun of a band as I have ever listened to, which is why I'd have to put them as my unofficial 2nd or 3rd mostest favoritest band evers (according to hardcore statistical analysis). That's why the day they broke up tranformed me into the brooding husk of a man you've come to know and/or love, and thats why on this day or reconciliation, I rejoice, and emerge from my cocoon of darkness and hate as a glorious and beautiful butterfly.

Or at least, I'm a bit relieved.

This almost certainly is bad news for the musical phoenix that rose from Ozma's ahes, Yes Dear, featuring guitarists Jose Galvez and Ryen Slegr. Most expect that if and when Ozma gets back in business that Yes Dear would either reform or dismantle.

But for an Ozma reunion? I'd say it's worth it. The band (minus drummer Pat Edwards) played a 6 song set last night in West Hollywood, CA under the pseudonym "Irregardless". April is supposedly the official month of return, complete with new material and hopefully a new album. Here's a demo version of the "new" song they played when they opened for The Wrens last night, which until this wonderful news came to light looked doomed to remain unpolished and unreleased.

And here's a nice soundtrack for your celebration.
