It's been far too long between posts, but I've finally found some down time. I'll try to make amends by featuring one of the coolest sounding artists I've heard over the past year or so.
MP3 - The Go! Team - Huddle Formation
The Go! Team are loud, lo-fi, energetic, and simply amazing. It's hard for me to imagine that this band ever sleeps. If children with ADHD had music constantly blaring through their heads, it would be from this band, and we would all be envious of them. So grab yourself some kind of caffinated beverage and a couple bags of sugar because you'll need to keep pace.
MP3 - The Go! Team - Bottle Rocket
The Go! Team lace each of their songs with bright sounding horns, driving guitars, crashing percussion, and a persistingm relentless beat. There are no conventional vocals, but instead they become part of the background, like another instrument in a giant symphony. It's as if they took the best aspects of rock, hip-hop, electronic, dance, and big brass music and shoved all of it into a blender.
MP3 - The Go! Team - Junior Kickstart
The Brighton, UK outfit has become an "it" band of the internet, and the admiration is well deserved. If you haven't already given their debut album Thunder, Lightning, Strike a listen, there's no better time than now.
